Shipping, Return, Payment, and Privacy Policies

In a Nutshell: 
Please read the rest of this page, but this is a brief summary.

  • We ship weekly, usually Friday or Monday.
  • Sometimes it takes me longer to respond to email than you would like.
  • Returns must be authorized in advance.
  • We are happy to ship internationally.
  • If you have chosen to pay with a credit card, when you enter that information on our payments page at checkout, you are authorizing us to charge your card for your order.

Privacy Policy:
In plain English: We collect your name and contact information for the purposes of processing your payment and sending your order. We keep your name and contact information in our accounting software for tax and financial purposes and ease of future orders. This information is stored locally and backed up to a cloud-based storage service. We use your email for our marketing purposes only if you check that you'd like to be added to our mailing list when you check out, or if you join our mailing list by clicking the above "email list" link. You may opt to leave the mailing list at any time. We don't sell your information. Obviously, I need to give your information to the shipping company to deliver your items, and your information gets processed through our payment processors. If you'd rather we not keep your address after we've shipped your order, please let us know. I do need to keep your name and state/country for accounting and tax purposes. Credit card information is deleted after use. It is not stored anywhere.

Local Customers:
If you would like to pick up your order, please choose "Pick up at seller location" at checkout. I will send you an email when your order is ready. As noted above, I typically do orders on Fridays. If you need your order sooner, please message me or email me and I'll do my best to accommodate. We are located near Roosevelt High School and will send you our complete address when your order's ready. Unless you've paid in advance, we'll ask you to schedule a time for your pickup. We understand that things happen, and sometimes you can't make it to appointments. If you don't show up for two appointments in a row to pick up your item, you'll need to pay for shipping and we'll ship your item.

Returns and Exchanges: 
Instock Items: Wallypop accepts returns and will offer a full refund or exchange (minus shipping costs) on unused, unwashed items. Return requests must be within 15 days of ship date. (International orders or orders that took an exceptionally long time to be delivered have some flexibility here, based on delivery date, if the order was sent with tracking or delivery confirmation.) Please contact us in advance for instructions and a return authorization. Refunds or exchanges will be made only once the items have been returned for inspection. We are only able to refund or credit you for the amount of the items purchased, not for shipping expenses. If you wish to exchange your item, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the new item to you.

Made to Order and custom items. Please see details on the order form.

Items sewn with Customer-Provided Fabric: Exchanges and returns are not available for products sewn with customer-provided fabric, unless there is a sewing defect, as per our guarantee below. 

Fabric and Supplies: Please see DiaperFAB for return and exchange information particular to these items.

We guarantee quality and workmanship on our products. This includes defects in sewing, elastic, and snaps. Repelling or leaking cloth diapers are not considered defects (repelling and leaking are most often caused by laundry problems or user error, see Help!). Failing to follow care instructions resulting in damage to the item and normal wear and tear are not considered defects. All returns for defective items must be requested within 3 days of receipt. Please email for authorization in advance of returning your items.

Shipping Cost. This is one of the most common things we get questions about - what are our shipping costs? We charge actual shipping costs plus a small handling fee. You can see exactly what your shipping will be once you start the checkout process.

At the present time, I ship once a week, usually Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. We ship via USPS only. Wallypop is not responsible for packages once they leave our hands.

Items ordered together are shipped together. Generally speaking, items ordered separately are shipped separately.

We are happy to ship internationally. Sometimes the shipping calculations made by our shipping calculator are not correct for international shipments. If adjustments are necessary, we will confirm shipping charges with you before shipping your items. You are responsible for all duties, taxes, fees, customs, and any other charges incurred during the shipping process. We will not falsify customs documents.

You must pay in full for items from our instock store before we will mail them to you. You must pay in full for custom items before work will begin.

Payment: Wallypop can accept payment through PayPal or by credit card. Local customers may also pay with cash.

Custom Items:
1. Please double check to make sure you have selected or typed in all the options you want. I can't read your mind, unfortunately. What appears in the cart upon checkout is the final word on what you want in your custom item and constitutes your entire order.

2. Payment must be received in full before any work will begin on your order. This includes local customers paying with cash or check.

3. Customer-provided fabric MUST be appropriate for its intended use. If you elect to buy your own fabric and it doesn't pass my approval, you'll need to pay for the postage to return the fabric to you. If you are mailing me fabric, I will contact you after I've received your order with shipping instructions. As noted below, I don't work 24/7, so there might be a day or two before I contact you.

4. I am not available 24/7, or even every day, to respond to emails and messages. I typically do "desk work," including email and messaging, a few times a week.

5. If you want to cancel your order before work has started, you will be given a full refund minus shipping costs to return your fabric, if applicable. If you wish to cancel your order after work has started, you will receive a pro-rated refund if possible. If we've purchased fabric for your order, the cost of the fabric will deducted from your refund (alternatively, you may pay for the fabric and shipping and we can ship it to you).

6. Returns: Made to order items ordered through this form are generally returnable per our regular return policy, above.

Exceptions are as follows:

  • Items made with customer fabric are not returnable.
  • Some items made with fabric we have purchased for you may not be returnable.
  • Due to their extremely customized nature, weighted blanets are not returnable.
  • Hospital gowns and G-tube pads are not returnable for health reasons.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

-as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
-when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
-if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
-as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: Indefinitely.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I live in the US and my business is located here. I back up my accounting software, which contains information I'm legally obligated to retain, including your personal information, to a cloud based service that adheres to Privacy Shield standards.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
